PREORDER SHIRTS!

We have shirts for pre-order to try to make some last minute cash. You can order them for $10 or buy them at TATR for $15. Obviously, they are this price for fund raising. Housing & misc. updates

At the Pink House, our garden is amazing! We have had so many luscious tomatoes and all sorts of veggies which has been so rad! This thought leads me to housing for TATR, which a few people have asked about. John Zerzan will not be staying with us (boo!) but will be lodging with another speaker, so we have more room at the Pink House! Our house is open to fit quite a few people I think. By that time we will have an extra bedroom, a couch, and a fair amount of floor space for guests. Also, one of my friends and her house mates are able to house I think 3-4 people. Both houses are within 10 minutes of the events in Baltimore. Those interested in housing (either receiving or offering) should send me an email so I can put everyone in contact with each other ahead of the event (feralthought@riseup.net). Also, Dave made a promo flyer for the internet which help distributing would be appreciated. Hope everyone is doing well!

Veggie garden

First angry email

Today, friends, we have hit a milestone with TATR…our first malice infested email full of personal attacks in the form of heavy assumptions! Exciting, yes?!

A person who goes by the name “MarkN” wrote TATR calling us racists (along with other gems..) for supporting Kevin Tucker (referred to as a “racist scumbag” in said email), along with a lengthy slew of other not well thought out insults. This person was clearly unaware of who we are, what we do, as well as what we support, but made every attempt to tell us we were horrible people anyway. Regardless, MarkN apparently thinks Green Anarchy was referring to him specifically in a recent issue (they deny any knowledge of this person also), and that our house is full of bike riding pizza delivery people who are destroying the earth with our demands for raw materials. I know, it is a lot to digest and makes little sense. Anyway, we must be doing something right to be receiving such enthusiastic correspondence.

Tearing at the Roots is trying to do an enormous amount of outreach in the month leading up to the festival, scheduled for August 30 & 31 of 2008.
